We start off longing for the arrival of our Summer Vacation and launch headlong into it full of great ideas and intentions, but before long the excitement dies down and things can begin to get a bit boring if we're not careful. It's good if we can break it up by going away on holiday or to visit relatives for a few days. We could even sleep in a tent in the garden for a change, after all, they say a change is as good as a rest. For those of us who aren't able to go away we would be wise to make some plans beforehand, to ensure that this holiday doesn't throw us into a sense of helplessness and guilt.

What is a holiday meant to do, apart from giving teachers and colleagues a break?
We know what the three R's of learning are, but where are the Three R's Of Summer Vacation?

  1. Refresh- now could be a great time to do something different to normal, even the act of getting out of your normal working routine can do this.
  2.  Recharge- your mind by spending time reading good material that will encourage you and give you valuable knowledge which you can implement in your life. Recharge your body by re-assessing your diet and making changes where necessary to replenish your body's nutrients. Recharge your spirit by exploring your spirituality and changing your lifestyle to include joining a church or learning to meditate and relax.
  3. Re-envision- think about where you want to go with your life. Look at enrolling in new courses and meeting new people to get in the direction where you want to go, rather than allowing life to push you along in the middle of business and stress. Be the master of your life and you will be able to make good choices that could lead to your dreams.
