We all have different clothes for different functions. It might be a uniform to provide a sense of belonging, such as uniforms for school or a suit that needs to protect you in your line of work, such as a diving suit, space suit, arctic suit or miners suit that would offer you the different sorts of protection vital in keeping you alive in extreme situations. Some clothing or overalls are practical and need to differentiate you from the general public, such as doctors, nurses or shopkeepers overalls, which need to protect their wearers and enable  the general public to recognize them.
When lounging around the house I find something light and soft most comfortable, although I do like to climb out of my pyjamas. When working in a prestigious job, a smart suit is more fitting and helps people to take me more seriously and demands respect.

The fashion industry does well from our culture that demands we chop and change depending upon our task at hand or even the mood of the times. We pay out a substantial amount of money to keep it going, never really thinking much about how we feel underneath. Much of the time we are uneasy in what we wear. In the end we will leave this world without clothing, just as we entered it and what will count will be measured by what is on the inside.What am I wearing on the inside? Is it guilt and shame or is it confidence and a sense of knowing who I am? Sometimes we need to take off the old garment that has worn out and replace it with a new one. It might feel a bit too big to begin with but after a while we can wear it with pride, especially if it has been given to us through faith, by grace, even when we didn't deserve it.
